WHO INFLUENCED YOU THE MOST?

My family has played a significant role in shaping my personality, values, beliefs, and overall outlook. Even today, I rely on my parents and sister for guidance and encouragement. My husband and two sons have been instrumental in helping me overcome my biggest challenges.

HOW ARE YOU SUPPORTING THE NEXT GENERATION OF FEMALE LEADERS?

One of my proudest career moments was being inducted into the Women of Power Society of NC, a celebration of women who have demonstrated leadership by contributing to the community through volunteerism, entrepreneurship, or public service. This motivation led to the Defense Alliance of North Carolina Women Business Leaders launch in August 2023. These two opportunities allow me to be active in my advocacy, supporting and encouraging women in leadership.

WHAT DOES WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT MEAN TO YOU?

Women’s empowerment means purposeful growth, creativity, refining our skills, uplifting each other, encouraging, collaborating, and nurturing our strengths. Be seen and be heard. Never underestimate a woman’s strength in the workplace, home, and community. Be authentic and lead by example. Mentor others to help pave the way for future generations.

WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED?

My all-time favorite advice is, “Treat others like you would want to be treated.” Practice empathy and kindness. This helps build strong, respectful, and supportive relationships in your personal life and in business.
